STUDY ABROAD AIN NEWZEALAND
New Zealand
New Zealand has two islands, known simply as North Island and South
Island. Wellington, New Zealand’s capital is the southernmost capital city in
the world. After Auckland, it is also the 2nd largest city in New Zealand.
The other major cities are Christchurch in Canterbury, Hamilton in Waikato,
Tauranga in Bay of Plenty, and Napier-Hastings in Hawk's Bay. The Polynesian
Maori reached New Zealand in about A.D. 800. In 1840, their
chieftains entered into a compact with Britain. In New Zealand often times you
can experience all four seasons in a day and you definitely need to pack for
chilly weather and dress in layers. There are only eight state
universities in the whole country, expanding across the two islands. Auckland
University of Technology, University of Auckland, Massey
University, University of Otago, or Victoria University of Wellington
are the public universities. Private universities include Lincoln
University, the University of Waikato, and the University of
Canterbury. Study and education in NZ are unique. The country offers the most
scenic spots and moors with zero pollution. Also, why it was chosen as the spot
for the entire filming of the Lord of the Rings series. Kiwis, native
Maoris, and Asians live in harmony and NZ remains as one of the most safest
countries in the world to live, study, and work in.
